Encounter #43 & #44 en Los Angeles, reseñas videográficas ::: Live Art LA/LA Organizado por Pacific Standard Time y REDCAT - Roy and Edna Disney/CalArts Theater y el apoyo de la Getty Foundation

“Pacific Standard Time Festival: Live Art LA/LA” is an international celebration of art and performance throughout greater Los Angeles, with more than 200 Latin American and Latino artists and performers creating adventurous events at more than 25 indoor and outdoor locations. Organized by REDCAT with a consortium of organizations and independent artists, the festival connects artists from more than a dozen countries with neighborhoods city-wide, through vital performances in parks, plazas, galleries, theaters and busy urban settings. The festival is part of the Getty-led Pacific Standard Time: LA/LA initiative and is supported by a major grant from the Getty Foundation.

As part of this festival, ENCOUNTER #43 AND #44(January 14th & 20th) were sponsored by Human Resources gallery, with production management by Rhizomatic Arts. ENCOUNTERs have been and organized by artist Mariel Carranza, since 2012, with a consisten group of LA based performance & performance-oriented artists as well as international visiting artists.

It was amazing to be part of this event and experience LA / Southern CA as a Latino/Latinamerican majority, visible and empowering the art scene of mythical California.
